Paypal Payment issues

If your Paypal payment for your premium account fails, first log onto Paypal Website and check the following details.

1. Your registered credit card number and account number information

2. The expiration date of your registered credit card

The Paypal payment will fail if either of these are incorrect, so please make sure they are accurate.

Paying Annually (Premium Service)

* Annual payment is available only via PayPal.

* You cannot choose an annual payment plan using credit card payment.

If you’d like to use annual payment with PayPal, follow these steps.

1. [Please choose a payment method.] -> Choose “PayPal”

2. [Choose your premium plan] -> Choose $63/year (BEST VALUE)

I’d like to change my payment method to new one (e.g. Paypal -> credit card)

Please follow these steps.
1. First cancel your premium account.
2. Make sure that your remaining premium account days have expired. 
   You can check how many days remain at http://lang-8.com/premium
3. Sign up for premium again with the new payment method.

I’d like to change my payment method from monthly to yearly

*The annual payment ( $63 /year ) is available only by Paypal payment.

*You cannot choose the annual payment with a credit card payment.

2. Please wait until your remaining premium account days have expired.
   You can check how many days remain at http://lang-8.com/premium

3. Sign up for premium again, choosing payment method with Paypal and then choose“$63 per year(BEST VALUE)”

Your Paypal payment will be made within 24 hours from the time you sign up. Please be aware that you will still be charged for that month’s payment even if you decide to close your account before the payment date. For the users who upgraded to premium accounts with paypal before 30 December 2010: Your Paypal payment is scheduled to be made one month after the date you sign up. Please be aware that you will still be charged for that month’s payment even if you decide to close your account before the payment date. You cannot check your payment date through Lang-8’s webpage. Please do so via Paypal’s webpage.

When using Yahoo! Wallet, the payment is made and automatically renewed at the end of the month. Please refer toYahoo!Wallet Help(Japanese) for more details on payment and withdrawal. Please note that although the first month is free when you choose Yahoo!Wallet as your payment source, you will be billed for the month if you decide to close your account during this free period.
