It is because the member attending the party did not reached enough number.

News Release: Lang-8 Starts Credit Card Payments.

It has been a year and 2 months since we had started our premium service and we only accepted PayPal and Yahoo!wallet(Yahoo!Japan’s service). But actually many people prefer other payment methods instead of them. Today, we would like to announce we start accepting credit card payments.

  • Prices are ¥525 JPY (VAT included).
  • Premium members who choose the credit card payment are charged on the 25th of each month.
  • If users want to stop the premium service, they can always do it from the premium account page.
  • charge rules are here :
  1. registered on 12/20 and sent a stop request on 2/19 :
    - charged on 12/25 and 1/25. The user is a premium user until 2/20.
  2. registered on 1/10 and sent a stop request on 2/20 :
    - already charged on 1/25 and will be charged on 2/25. The user is a premium user until 3/10.
  3. registered on 1/31 and sent a stop request on 2/10 :
    - will be charged on 2/25. The user is a premium user until 2/28 instead of 3/3 and 2/31.

Also we started accepting convenience store payment to send a premium gift. But this can be available only in japan, which is why we didn’t write about it on this blog entry.
